About Brookwood 167 PTO
Parents, with Teachers, advocating for our students through the enrichment of educational opportunities, building community within our district and increasing parental involvement through meaningful action.
Brookwood School District 167's Parent Teacher Organization is built on four important cornerstones - Advocacy, Enrichment, Community, and Involvement. Our primary objective as a PTO is to provide our school with resources, services, programs, and funds that will enrich and maximize the education of every child as well as benefit our schools. Through volunteering and fundraising, we will meet these important objectives and assist in solving school needs.
We strive to build productive relationships and make a positive impact with all of our pursuits.
ADVOCACY
You may ask, “What is a PTO?” PTO stands for Parent-Teacher Organization with both groups working together to support and enrich all students. The main difference between the PTA and a PTO is where a PTA is bound by the rules and agenda of the national PTA organization, we can tailor our parent group to best suit the needs of our Brookwood students, families, schools, and community.
ENRICHMENT
Field trips, acknowledgement of success, experiences. All of these, and more, contribute to the enrichment of our children's education. The PTO is committed to making sure our students' time in School District 167 is as well-rounded as we can make it.
COMMUNITY
If you want to make a real difference in the lives of your children and community, join the PTO! We have already had an awesome response from the wonderful school staff from all 4 schools but we’re missing the most important part of any PTO – YOU! Your membership in our new Brookwood 167 PTO is what will truly make us the success we know we can be! So, who can be a member? Are you a father, mother, guardian, and/or a person who teaches or instructs within the Brookwood 167 School District. If you answered YES, then YOU are exactly who can become a member!
INVOLVEMENT
We need your help and so does your child. To all who have participated in the previous PTA, become a member of the PTO today! For those who have been curious about what they can do to help their child’s school, become a member of the PTO today! To those who never thought they had anything to add, become a member of the PTO today and see what a difference you can make with even the most simple involvement! Our Brookwood 167 School District strives for excellence and what better way to support our kids, our families, our schools, and our community than to become involved today? The most important member of your child’s education team is YOU and it doesn’t take a lot to make a huge difference! We cannot succeed on our own. We must connect for success!
